Biggest Loser Contestants Shoot

We hardly recognised these two love birds when they walked on set. Laura and Leigh looked incredible having dropped a combined 90 kgs! Looking every bit the super stars. A delight to do hair and makeup for, so down-to-earth and appreciative of all the extra pampering on set.

Steve Jacobs’ Womans Day shoot

Driving up to Vaucluse is always a fun thing…passing the large houses to get to the larger houses and then I stumbled upon our location…wow, amazing!

Steve & Rose arrived. Both so so lovely. Steve being the big kid that he is on Ch9 Today Show as weatherman and Rose newly pregnant/freelance tv reporter for Sydney Weekender.

When I asked about hair & makeup both said “just do your thing” so I went about doing hair & makeup on Rose first. Choosing MAC luminous lotion on her face to give her skin that glow that the camera loves followed by MAC foundation (in her colour), Nars Orgasm on cheeks, MAC lipliner in Soar followed by clear gloss. Her eyes were defined in a number of shades from MAC, ranging in beige, softest brown on lid followed by darkest brown as a contour with a black shadow used on her lashline. Topped off with my favourite products…Dior plumping serum and waterproof mascara in Blackest Black. When it came to Steve well what can I say the man has great looks all he needed was a dusting of powder and some paw paw ointment.

The shoot was so much fun alot of mucking around but still enough professionalism to get the shoot wrapped up on time.

Gourmet Traveller Shoot

If its too hot then get out of the kitchen – very fitting for one of the hottest summer days during our Sydney heat wave.

Celebrity chefs were joined together for their glamourous transformation at the Gourmet Traveller shoot.
Upstyle in 10 mins?! Our time was stretched to its limits, making 9 celebs look chic for the Australian Pork campaign.
It was beginning to feel like we were the ones working in a busy kitchen, preparing everyone at lightning speed having them looking smoking hot just in time for the photographer to get snap happy. Never one to let a challenge get us beat – the result – everyone looking fabulous form their heads to their pots and pans.

Tai Chi video shoot

Having always wanted to try Tai Chi, I was really looking forward to watching Dr Paul Lam and his students perform this ancient form of exercise – actually its also a moving meditation.
Dr Paul is one of the most experienced in his field and is creating a video for followers of Tai Chi to learn the techniques at home. We were there to make sure everyone had makeup on for camera – the anti shine gals for a day.
Its such a slow paced movement, they make it look so easy. Watching the class move with such grace, so effortlessly synchronised, along with intense concentration and focus of the mind. After a long day of filming this art form was looking far from being easily mastered in one session, its a lifetime of practice.
While the pictures dont give justice to watching or even doing Tai Chi you can see Dr Paul Lam and his students in action – via my dodgy iphone camera…
